Fundraising/Development Volunteer
AAIA is currently recruiting for an experienced fundraiser/development director who would like to volunteer in our Rockville, Maryland office.
The role of the volunteer would be to collaborate with the Executive Director and staff to further develop, coordinate and implement fundraising initiatives for our organization. Our current fundraising efforts include direct mail, bequests, foundation and government grants and workplace giving campaigns. An internet fundraising component is currently being developed.

AmeriCorps*VISTA Member -
AAIA is currently recruiting for an AmeriCorp*VISTA volunteer to serve in our Rockville, Maryland office beginning in June of 2009.
The role of the volunteer would be to develop and implement an Internet fundraising program for our organization. This project would be part of a larger fundraising effort that includes direct mail, bequests, foundation and government grants and workplace giving campaigns. Ultimately, we anticipate that the AmeriCorps*VISTA member will be able to develop our capacity to raise funds over the Internet by tapping into and developing a variety of approaches which could include, among other things: registering with search engines, banner advertising, working with portals, partnerships and other types of online promotions, building email lists, e-newsletters, broadcast e-mails, and marketing through such mechanisms as My Space and You Tube.
VISTA members receive a monthly living allowance of $833, potential additional living stipend, a $4,725 educational award after one year of service as well as health benefits and training.
Our office is metro accessible on the Red Line.
