​The Association is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) publicly supported organization.

The Association is governed by an all-Native Board of Directors and Executive Director. 

Native Ways Federation


Established in 2006 by seven of the country's leading national American Indian nonprofits including the Association on American Indian Affairs, the Native Ways Federation is the only federation in the U.S. purposed to directly serve Native non-profits that assist indigenous peoples and communities in Indian Country.
