
Dee Ann DeRoin, MD, MPH
Dr. DeRoin is a family physician and community health consultant working with tribes, Native organizations, states and non-profit organizations to improve the health status and the quality of health care in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Her areas of special interest and expertise include cancer education and prevention; diabetes education and prevention; and family medicine. She recently retired from reservation-based clinical medicine, but continues her community health work with the four reservation tribes of Kansas and the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board.
Dr. DeRoin graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine and received her MPH from University of California at Berkeley.
Dr. DeRoin is a member of the Association of American Indian Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians and is board-certified in family medicine. She is an enrolled member of the Ioway Tribe of Kansas.
