Legal & Policy projects focus on federal Indian law, regulatory frameworks, and advocacy to uphold Native Nations’ rights. Interns should have strong research and writing skills, and a foundational understanding of sovereignty, Native Nation governance, and legal protections.

Current Projects:

• Legal research on state burial laws
• Support updates and education around new regulations impacting Native Nations
• Compile a list of federal legislation, regulations and policies, regarding Native youth justice, youth justice, child welfare, Native child welfare and Native women
