Qwiy Covington, office manager

Qwiy Covington is a citizen of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation and a descendant of the Shoshone Bannock Tribes of the Fort Hall Reservation. Qwiy brings more than fifteen years of experience serving Native Nations and nonprofit organizations through governance coordination, executive support, human resources, systems management, and policy advocacy. Qwiy began her professional career with the Colville Confederated Tribes, where she learned leadership directly within Tribal government. Qwiy later transitioned into the nonprofit sector, serving the Northwest Area Foundation as Board Liaison, Executive Support to the President & CEO, Project Coordinator, and Systems Manager. Most recently, Qwiy served as a Research and Policy Specialist with GRID Alternatives, advancing Native Nation energy sovereignty and equitable access to renewable energy. Across all roles, Qwiy brings deep cultural, traditional, and spiritual knowledge that guides her leadership. She is recognized as a systems thinker, cultural translator, and advocate for sovereignty. Her career reflects a lifelong dedication to uplifting well-being and supporting decision making rooted in values passed down by her Ancestors.
